A Rotary Lunch - 17 August 2015

A fab Rotary lunch today with our speaker who is a fellow Rotary member from London talking about World Population.

Also, we had another two new members join the club as you can see to the right.

Bolivia International Evening

4 April 2014

Our Bolivia International Evening held in November 2012 (in partnership with the Rotary Club of Cochabamba Norte) was a grand party of Andean music, dance and traditional food, highlighting Bolivian culture and attended by more than 90 guests. We were able to raise £4,000 to assist our partner in Bolivia (the poorest country in South America) in the provision of assistance to blind, deaf and orphaned children in Cochabamba at both the local branch of "Instituto de Ciegos Manuela T. Gandarillas" and the "Associacion de Damas Voluntarias de Ayuda al Sordo"


Burkina Faso Evening

4 April 2014

Our "Burkina Faso International Evening" held in November 2013 was a lively and entertaining party of African music and dance by the Abdoulaye band and dancers and attended by more than 80 guests. Some £3,800 was raised during the evening from donors and guests for a village primary school project in Logofourousso near to Bobo-Dioulasso in Burkina Faso for the provision of school benches/tables and basic educational essentials. There are 489 children attending the school which has eight teachers; the age of the children range from 7 to 14 years old.


International Committee - next meeting

Members of the International Service Committee had a committee meeting on Wednesday 12 November 2014, staring at 6:30 pm in the Chesterfield Hotel bar.


New Satellite project launched 1 September 2014

Whether you're an existing Rotarian or not, you're welcome to attend our Satellite evening meetings to learn more about our charitable and social activities. The Satellite meets on Thursdays from 18 September 2014 between 6.30 and 7.30 pm at the Trafalgar Hotel, 2 Spring Gardens, Trafalgar Square, London SW1A 2TS.

Our programme includes developing community projects; hands-on community service; fundraising; key speaker events and networking, all within a flexible model to accommodate the limited time that people have available. The Satellite meeting is fully integrated with the Rotary Club of London programme.

A Swiss Adventure

On the 9th of September, twelve students and four staff members traveled to Interlaken, Switzerland.

This amazing trip was organised and funded by London and Interlaken Rotary Clubs.

What a wonderful opportunity for Oak Lodge Students to experience another culture and grow with the challenge! And what a wonderful place to visit.



A fundraising event for the Schools Home Support (SHS) charity.

SHS used the monies raised to put into their "troubled families" fund in order to assist families who most need financial support, backup and encouragement - especially to focus children of such families getting back to school.
